Nasreen Pervin Huq
ABOUT NASREEN PERVIN HUQ
Women's rights activist who helped found the Acid Survivors Foundation in 1999 and was an adviser to the World Health Organization.
She studied for a master's degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
She died after being crushed by a vehicle driven by her chauffeur, which was officially ruled an accident but raised conspiratorial suspicions.
Her father, Rafiqul Huq, was an engineer.
She and English-born activist Annie Besant both dedicated their lives to securing rights for women.
