ABOUT NARAYANA MURTHY
Indian IT entrepreneur who co-founded Infosys, an international consulting, technology, and engineering company. He was one of the main originators of outsourcing to India. He has amassed over 60,000 followers on Twitter as a result of his entrepreneurial fame.
He received degrees in engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, University of Mysore, and from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
He was named by Fortune magazine as one of the twelve most important entrepreneurs in the world. He posts his thoughts on media and congratulations to other people of influence on his infosys_nmurthy Twitter account.
His wife, Sudha Kulkarni Murthy, also worked as an engineer. The couple had two children: Rohan and Akshata.
He and Indian singer Kumar Sanu were both honored with the prestigious Padma Shri by the Indian government.
