Celebrity internist who rose to fame after her wit, charisma and knowledge have made her a sought-after medical expert and speaker.  She raises awareness on a wide variety of issues, but is primarily focused on women's health and wellness.

Dr. Simpkins graduated from The Chicago Medical School in 1984 and in 1989 she received her certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Her popularity has garnered her several appearances on talk shows like Dr. Oz, The Today Show and Fox & Friends.

She and her husband have three children and split their time between New York and New Jersey.

She's friends with football player and mental health activist Brandon Marshall .
