British-Iranian journalist who made a name for herself as a correspondent for BBC World Service and BBC Persian. She has covered major stories such as the Sinjar massacre and the conflict between the Islamic State and the Kurdish Peshmerga.
She studied at Shahid Beheshti University.

She's been based in Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq and the United Kingdom.
She was removed from her job at the newspaper Hamshahri by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad after she was accused of being a spy.
