ABOUT MR. CHEEKS
Born Terrance Kelly and known to his fans as Mr. Cheeks, this Grammy-winning hip hop artist is famous for his work with the Queens-based group Lost Boyz, as well as for his solo albums John P. Kelly (2001), Back Again! (2003), and Ladies and Ghettomen (2004).
He released his debut album with the Lost Boyz, Diamond Dust, in 1993, and followed the recording with the hit albums Legal Drug Money (1996); Love, Peace & Nappiness (1997); and LB IV Life (1999).
Tragically, his Lost Boyz collaborator Freaky Tah (Raymond Rogers) was murdered on his way home from Mr. Cheeks' birthday celebration in Queens, New York City.
Born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, he is the nephew of prominent spoken-word poet Gil Scott-Heron .
He is featured in Lil Kim 's 2003 single "The Jump Off."
