ABOUT MOSTAFA SHESHTAWY
Photojournalist and filmmaker known widely for his documentation of the Egyptian revolution throughout 2011 and 2012. His photos, featured in outlets like the New York Times and Al Jazeera, went on to appear in the documentary Sons of the Bullets.
After studying media engineering at the German University in Cairo, he went on to work as a reporter for Daily News Egypt.
In 2015, he wrote and directed the short film Love Blood Test and the documentary short Immortalizing Memories.
He and his older brother, Mohammed Al-Shishtawi, were born and raised in Qatar. He, however, lived much of his life in Cairo, Egypt.
Much like British photographer Joshua Benoliel , he has gained fame as a prominent photojournalist.
