ABOUT MONIKA SHIN
South Korean dancer, choreographer, and cultural icon renowned for her influence within the Korean street dance scene. She rose to fame as the leader of PROWDMON, one of the featured crews on Mnet's reality television competition, Street Woman Fighter (SWF) in 2021. She was also invited to return as a judge for the show's second season.
She first became fascinated by dance after having watched SBS's Gifted Talented Development Project 99% Challenge, which was hosted by Park Jin-young . She joined a dance crew when she was 20 years old and began performing in the streets. She launched her professional career working in the fashion industry, after having earned a university degree in fashion design.
She is also the co-owner of OFD Studio and has served as a professor of street dance at Hoseo Arts and Practical College in Seoul.
Her real name is Shin Jung-woo. In 2024, she announced her engagement and pregnancy on social media.
She has choreographed for noteworthy figures including Taemin , Crush , and Zico .
