Accomplished journalist who rose through the ranks to become a national political correspondent for Time. Prior to joining the magazine, she wrote about United States politics for The Atlantic and Politico.

She earned her degree from Yale University .

She's the recipient of the Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting and the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi Award.

Her husband David Kihara has worked as a senior editor for Politico. She has three children.

In 2007, she won $100,000 on Who Wants to be a Millionaire which has been hosted by Meredith Vieira .
