Mitchell Parker
ABOUT MITCHELL PARKER
Left-handed starting pitcher that was drafted by the Washington Nationals as a fifth rounder in 2020. Just four years later, he led all MLB rookies in earned run average at home and he finished fifth in strikeouts. While in college, he played baseball San Jacinto Community College.
He is a graduate of Manzano Public High School. As a freshman at San Jacinto, he recorded 111 strikeouts in 13 starts.
He was drafted three separate times before eventually signing with the Nationals. The other two teams were the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago Cubs .
He grew up living with his parents and his siblings in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He now lives along with his wife, Hayleigh.
He recorded his first major league strikeout while facing Mookie Betts .
