ABOUT MIRKO ILIC
Artist who became known for his comic book illustrations in such publications as Heavy Metal. After working on Epic Illustrated for Marvel, he focused on graphic design for the magazine Panorama.
He attended the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb, Croatia.
He provided illustrations for the New York Times, Time, and the Wall Street Journal.
His first wife was the Croatian writer Slavenka Drakulic. His second was Nicky Lindeman.
He and Hope Larson both had careers as graphic artists.
