South Korean singer who has risen to fame as the unofficial leader of the girl group NewJeans . Prior to joining the group, she made a guest appearance in the official music video for " Permission to Dance " by K-Pop stars BTS . She debuted with NewJeans at the age of 18, making her the oldest member of the group.
She became a Source Music trainee in 2020.
