ABOUT MILT THOMPSON

Former outfielder and coach that played 13 years in Major League Baseball for teams such as the Atlanta Braves , Philadelphia Phillies , St. Louis Cardinals , Houston Astros , Los Angeles Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies . He earned his first World Series win as the hitting coach of the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008.

He attended Colonel Zadok A. Magruder High School in Rockville, Maryland prior to going to Howard University for college. He was then drafted 29th overall in the 2nd round of the 1979 draft.

During the 1993 World Series, he set a Phillies' single-game World Series record with 5 RBIs in Game 4. He hit .313 with 6 RBIs for the entire series.

He and his wife, Rhonda Scott, have been married since 1996. They have four daughters.

While working for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008, he coached former baseball player Ryan Howard .
