ABOUT MIKEY GARCIA

American professional boxer who is best known for being a three-weight world champion after previously being the holder of featherweight titles in 2013 and the WBO junior lightweight title in 2013 as well.

With several other family members in the boxing scene, it was only natural he would eventually pick up the gloves. He began his amateur career at the young age of fourteen where he won several awards including the silver medal at the National Junior Olympic Championship. He then attended the Ventura County Police Academy where he graduated while balancing boxing with his studies.

He has won several awards and honors for his boxing and in August of 2017, he was ranked as the world's ninth best active boxer, pound for pound.

He has been trained by his father Eduardo Garcia and his brother, former world champion Robert Garcia .

He has fought against several other professional boxers including Adrien Broner in July of 2017.
