ABOUT MIKE BREARLEY
Went 17-4 as captain of the English side, captained England in the 1979 Cricket World Cup Final, and was President of the Marylebone Cricket Club in 2007–08.
He played for Cambridge University beginning in 1961 and was made captain in 1964.
He became a highly-respected psychoanalyst and psychotherapist after his playing career, serving as president of the British Psychoanalytical Society from 2008-2010.
His father Horace was also a first-class cricketer.
He was succeeded by Derek Underwood as President of the MCC in 2008.
