ABOUT MIKE BLOOMFIELD
Guitarist and composer who was ranked #22 on the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time list released by Rolling Stone.
He spent a lot of evening at the blues clubs on Chicago's South Side.
He was one of the first guitarists to make a name for himself exclusively through playing, rather than singing.
His parents moved to the upscale Glencoe neighborhood, which made it difficult for Bloomfield to integrate himself.
He worked with Janis Joplin on her Kozmic Blues album.
