ABOUT MIGUEL AMAYA

Professional catcher that was first signed by the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in 2015. He was later named one of the Cubs top 20 MLB prospects in 2022.

He originally began his professsional career playing for the DSL Cubs rookie affiliate team.

At the conclusion of the 2022 MLB regular season, he was the 16th highest ranked prospect in the Cubs' farm system.

He grew up living with his family in Herrera, Panama.

He and Yan Gomes have both been catchers for the Chicago Cubs .
