Former Major Leaguer, most remembered as an outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Philadelphia Phillies, among others.

He was first drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 1990.

He won a World Series Championship as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001.

He was born and raised in St. Croix, Virgin Islands.

Luis Gonzalez hit the famous walk-off single that led the Diamondbacks to victory in game 7 over the Yankees in the 2001 World Series.
