ABOUT MICKEY LOLICH

3-time MLB All-Star who started more games as a pitcher than anyone in Detroit Tigers history.

He toiled in the minor leagues for five years before the Detroit Tigers finally gave him a chance in 1963.

He won three games in the 1968 World Series, beating Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Gibson in Game 7 to deliver a Championship to Detroit.

He married Joyce Lolich in 1964.

He and Al Kaline both starred on the Tigers' 1968 World Series Championship team.
