Mick Cronin

ABOUT MICK CRONIN

Basketball coach known for being at the helm of the Cincinnati Bearcats, a position he took over in 2006. He'd previously been the head coach of Murray State University.

He started coaching high school basketball while a student at the University of Cincinnati, where he became an assistant coach after graduating.

He was named Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2006 and earned the same honors in the American Athletic Conference in 2014.

He was married to Darlene Taylor from 2003 to 2009 and has a daughter named Samantha. His father, "Hep" Cronin, was a successful high school basketball coach.

He spent three years as an assistant coach to Rick Pitino in the early 2000s.
