Michel Baez
ABOUT MICHEL BAEZ
Veteran reliever that was first signed by the San Diego Padres as an international free agent in 2016. Prior to signing with the Padres, he pitched professionally in the Cuban National Series.
He began his minor league career playing for the AZL Padres. A few weeks later, he was promoted to the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
He made his official major league debut pitching against the New York Mets on July 23, 2019. He pitched one scoreless and allowed one hit.
Growing up, he lived with his family in Havana, Cuba. He later would be based in Arizona.
He played alongisde Manny Machado and Fernando Tatís Jr. during his MLB debut.
