She studied journalism in Munich and then began hosting Live aus dem Alabama, a weekly youth-oriented TV talk show.

Outside of her work in the media, she founded a consulting company to train business and media professionals in media image and presentation.

She was born in Germany.

Gore Vidal , the acclaimed author and playwright, was another public intellectual – perhaps the American version of Michaela.
