ABOUT MICHAEL STERN
American reporter who is remembered for his first-hand accounts from Italy during World War II.
He majored in Journalism at Syracuse University but left school right before graduation to take a job at the New York Journal.
He helped create the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum in New York City.
He was married to Estelle Goldstein from 1934 until her death in 1995.
He also dabbled in film producing and produced the 1968 film L'Avventuriero, which starred Rita Hayworth .
