Drummer, percussionist, and electronic music composer who drummed for Carlos Santana from 1969 to 1974.
He grew up in San Francisco. He played at Woodstock when he was only twenty years old.
He has composed music for films including Tempest and Apollo 13.
He has a son named Sam who is also a musician.
He has toured with Etta James .
