ABOUT MERVYN DAVIES
Considered one of the greatest number 8s of all time; played for Wales and the British Lions in the 1960s and '70s.
He began playing for the London Welsh in 1969.
He was given the nickname, 'Merv the Swerve.'
He was married twice and had two children of his own.
He and Sam Warburton both represented Wales in international play.
