ABOUT MERLE PARK
Ballerina most remembered for her time spent with the Royal Ballet as a soloist.
She grew up consumed with dance, and knew that she wanted to become a professional ballerina by the time she was 10.
In 1977, she was selected as one of the dancers to perform alongside Freddie Mercury at a charity gala for the City of Westminster Society for Mentally Handicapped Children.
She was born in Zimbabwe.
She has performed on stage with some of the most talented dancers of the 20th century, including Mikhail Baryshnikov .
