ABOUT MELODY LACAYANGA

A So You Think You Can Dance veteran who finished as the runner-up and top female dancer on the 1st season of the hit Fox show. She returned to the show as an All-Star for the 8th season.

She grew up in a family of performers, singing and dancing since she could remember. She began taking dance lessons at the age of 5 and competed nationally.

She became a founding member of The Dance Company, under the direction of Chris Jacobsen, and attended The School of the Arts high school (SOTA) in San Francisco.

She is a Filipino-American who was born in San Francisco.

She was a dancer on Miley Cyrus ' "Gypsy Heart" world tour and has other credits that include The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Glee, Bunheads, MTV European Music Awards, and Sonya Tayeh Dance Company.
