ABOUT MAYA HAYUK

Painter and visual artist who is known for her abstract color portraits as well as her collage work and other colorful geometric concepts. She shares her artwork through Instagram for her over 90,000 followers.

She earned her BFA in Interrelated Media from Massachusetts College of Art. She is also known for having studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design and the University of Odessa.

Her work has been exhibited at a variety of museums, galleries, and venues including The Bowery Wall in New York, The Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and The Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in Toronto.

While she was born in Maryland, she later settles in Brooklyn, New York.

She is also known for her musical collaborations including in album artwork and stage sets for Rye Rye , Animal Collective , and Dan Deacon .
