Sri Lankan dancer and actress who was the first Sri Lankan to place runner-up at the Miss Universe Pageant in 1955.
She went to the Holy Family Convent as a child, and won the title of Miss Ceylon in 1954.
She appeared in many films including The King and I and The Rawhide Trail.
She married Mario Armond Zamparelli in 1958; they had three daughters.
She was a pageant model and actress like Vanessa Williams , who was once crowned Miss USA.
