ABOUT MATTHEW RHYS

Welsh actor who starred on the television series Brothers & Sisters from 2006 until 2011 and went on to star on The Americans from 2013 until 2018. His film credits include The Post , Mowgli , and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood , among others.

He began his acting career in 1997, performing in a stage production of Cardiff East.

He played Dylan Thomas in The Edge of Love, a 2008 film that starred Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley . He gained attention for his work in the horror film Hallow Road, which was released in 2025.

He became a close friend of fellow Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd . The two lived together for over ten years. In 2013, he began dating his co-star, Keri Russell, and they welcomed a son in 2016.

In 2004, he starred in a production of William Shakespeare 's Romeo and Juliet.
