ABOUT MATTHEW LIBERATORE

Southpaw pitcher that was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays during the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He was later traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in January 2020. He was named one of the Cardinals' top 5 MLB prospects in 2022.

He attended Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Arizona. While in high school, he was an Under Armour All-American and a member of the United States U18 national team.

He is the highest drafted high school player in Tampa Bay's franchise history. He was selected with the 16th overall pick of the 2018 Major League Draft.

He is a native of the Peoria, Arizona area. He has dated Natalie Rincon.
