ABOUT MATTHEW BOYD
Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays during the sixth round of the 2013 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Seattle Mariners via trade in August 2022. He has also pitched in the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants minor league farm systems.
He graduated from Oregon State University in 2013. He pitched for four seasons there.
He is a distant cousin of Major League Hall-of-Famer Bob Feller .
He lives along with his wife, Ashley. He is a native of Mercer Island, Washington.
He was once packaged in a trade that included Curt Casali .
