ABOUT MATT SANCHEZ

Member of the four-piece alt-rock band American Authors , who are known for their singles "Best Day of My Life" and "Believer" off their debut album Oh, What a Life.

He met his future band mates while attending Berklee College of Music, forming the group in 2007 under the name The Blue Pages. After two years of struggling as The Blue Pages, the four members dropped out of school and moved to Brooklyn, where they became the American Authors.

He explained that the band chose the name because they consider themselves storytellers through their lyrics, and that an author can be anyone who tells a story through words.

He began dating Katie Burton in 2015.

He performs alongside Dave Rublin , James Shelley, and Zachary Barnett in American Authors.
