Right-handed reliever that was drafted by the Chicago White Sox during the 20th round of the 2016 Major League Draft. He was selected from the University of Alabama .

He is a graduate of Valley Public High School in Valley, Alabama. Shortly after graduating, he later enrolled at Gulf Coast State Community College.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on August 1, 2020. He pitched one scoreless inning and recorded one strikeout.

Growing up, he lived with his parents and his two brothers. He now lives with his wife, Leann, and their son and daughter.

He was once packaged in a trade that also included Ryan McBroom .
