ABOUT MATHU ANDERSEN

Renowned makeup artist, costume designer, photographer, and visual artist who rose to fame as a longtime creative collaborator of RuPaul . Over the course of his career, he served as her hair and makeup artist, creative producer, and even as an occasional celebrity guest judge on the reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race .

He studied fashion and textile design before relocating to New York in 1986, where he teamed up with famed designer Zaldy Goco and became a notable contributor to the city's nightlife and fashion scenes of the 1990s. He relocated once again to Los Angeles in 2002, expanding his repertoire to include music videos and editorial projects with high-profile artists including Beyoncé , Janet Jackson , and Jennifer Lopez .

In 2015, he earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Makeup for his work on the Season 7 episode of Drag Race titled "ShakesQueer."

He was previously involved in a relationship with celebrated fashion designer Zaldy Goco.

He directed the 2010 music video for the song "Jealous of My Boogie" by RuPaul, feat. Tyra Sanchez , Raven , and Jujubee .
