American stage actress and singer who made a name for herself with roles in productions like Hairspray and Little Shop of Horrors. She later became an acclaimed Broadway performer, appearing in Raindogs and Motown the Musical.

She graduated from the musical theater program at The Pinellas Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School.

She has released songs as a solo recording artist, including "Stand Back."

She is the sister of Hamilton actor Ephraim Sykes .

She and Tamar Davis both starred in Motown the Musical on Broadway.
