ABOUT MARK WATROUS

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best recognized for becoming the guitarist for The Shins in 2012. He was previously a founding member of the band Loudermilk, which later became known as Gosling.

He began his career in 1995 as the founding guitarist for Loudermilk. They independently released the album Man with Gun Kills Three! in 1998.

He has performed as a touring member of The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes, Shudder to Think, and several other acts.

He and his partner Jaime Bryan have a daughter named Leona Skywalker.

As a member of The Shins, he has performed alongside James Mercer .
