Former right-handed relief pitcher who played six seasons in the major leagues.
He was selected in the seventh round of the 1979 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros.
He compiled a respectable 3.83 lifetime ERA.
His younger brother Marty Ross coached high school baseball at Dobie High School in Texas.
In 1982, 1984, and 1985, he played alongside Hall-of-Fame hurler Nolan Ryan .
