Home run hitting MLB infielder who debuted in 2007 for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He played college ball for the University of Virginia, where he finished his career second all-time in home runs for the school.

In 2008 he set the MLB record for most strikeouts in a season, with 204.

He had two sons with his wife Kathleen Reynolds.

He played AAU baseball with future MLB outfielder BJ Upton .
