ABOUT MARK PONTIUS
Famous as the drummer of the Los Angeles indie band Foster The People. He released the Grammy-nominated single "Pumped Up Kicks" with the group in 2011. His band's albums include Torches and Supermodel.
Before joining Foster the People, he performed with a Florida based group called Malbec. His recordings with Malbec include an EP titled Double O Buffalo and the singles "Story of a Broken Heart" and "In the End."
In early 2015, he used his Twitter profile as a platform for raising funds for a Los Angeles charity called Mercy for Animals.
He and his sister Rebecca were raised in Orlando, Florida. He has been in a relationship with designer Caroline Walkup.
He and bassist Cubbie Fink both rose to fame as members of Foster the People.
