Marjo Matikainen-Kallstrom
ABOUT MARJO MATIKAINEN-KALLSTROM
Finnish cross-country skier and Olympic gold medalist, she won gold at the 1988 Calgary games in the 5 km race.
She entered her first Olympics in 1984 and won bronze in the 4 x 5 km.
She was a member of European Parliament from 1996 to 2004, and after 2004 she became a member of Finnish Parliament.
She married Arne Kallstrom in 1995.
She took gold at the 1988 Olympics where Finnish ski jumper Matti Nykanen won three golds.
