Soviet Latvian ballet dancer known for dancing with the Moscow State Academic Bolshoi Theatre troupe.
He graduated from Riga Choreography School and began performing in Moscow.
In his debut on the stage, he performed the role of Basil in Don Quixote.
His parents raised him in Riga, Latvia.
He and Karen Kain were both ballet dancers.
