Spanish language YouTube vlogging icon who ranks as one of the most subscribed to personalities in all of YouTube. She posts about all things beauty on her self-titled channel, which has earned over 24 million subscribers. She has also worked as one of the promotional voices for the United Nations and was featured on their Instagram page.

She studied ballet and theater as a child. She created her first YouTube account when she was 16 after winning a makeup contest.

She has a second channel called yuyacst where she posts video blogs. She is a phenomenon on various other social media outlets as well with millions of followers on both Twitter and Instagram. She's published two books titled Los Secretos de Yuya and Las Confesiones de Yuya.

She was born Mariand Castrejón Castañeda in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Her older brother is fellow social media star Fichis . Her parents' names are Maribel and Andrés. Her uncle gave her her nickname after a character from Mexican television named Yuya, la Gorda. She began dating singer Siddhartha in August 2019. They welcomed a son together in October 2021. She was previously in a relationship with YouTuber Beto Pasillas until mid-2019.

In 2018, she posed with J Balvin for the cover of the magazine Eres.
