ABOUT MARIA LUCIA

Danish pop singer who gained fame after winning the competition television show Popstars in 2003. Her debut single, "Taking Back My Heart," was released in 2004 and hit number 1 on the Danish top 40 chart, Hitlisten.

She began her singing career at the age of eight in the film Bugsy Malone .

She is a musical theatre actress as well, and has starred in productions of Beauty and the Beast , West Side Story, Les Misérables , Wicked , Some Like It Hot, Chess, Aladdin, Shrek The Musical , and The Sound of Music.

Her mother, Karin Heilberg Christensen, is a film editor. Her father, Per Rosenberg, was an elementary school teacher. She has a son who is featured in several of her Instagram photos.

In the Danish version of Frozen , she dubbed the role of Elsa, originally played by Idina Menzel .
