ABOUT MARGARET HOWELL

Versatile designer known for her success in both menswear and womenswear.

She started making accessories after neglecting to land her dream job with the BBC's make-up department.

In 2006, she was asked to design the uniform for employees at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

She had two children, Miriam and Edward.

Her accessories came to Vogue's attention after she scored a chance meeting with fashion icon Elizabeth Taylor .
