ABOUT MARCELO GOMES

Brazilian ballet dancer who has won universal acclaim for his performances in productions like Othello, which earned him Prix Benoit de la Danse, one of ballet's most notable honors. He has performed with renowned groups like the New York City Ballet and National Ballet of Canada.

He grew up in Rio de Janeiro Brazil and studied dance at a number of prestigious schools, including the Harid Conservatory, Paris Ballet Opera and Houston Ballet.

He was crowned the winner of the Swiss dance competition Prix de Lusanne as a teenager.

He was born in Manaus, Brazil.

He performed with Alessandra Ferri on her farewell tour.
