ABOUT MALCOLM MARX

Professional hooker rugby player that was signed by the Japanese based rugby club the Kubota Spears in 2021. Prior to the Kubota Spears, he played for the Urayasu D-Rocks rugby team. During his professional career, he has also played for the South African men's national rugby team.

He first began his rugby career playing for the Golden Lions youth squad. He first joined the Golden Lions in 2007 at the age of twelve.

He was selected to represent South Africa during the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He and the South African national team won the world cup after defeating England in the championship match.

He and his wife Kirsten welcomed a daughter named Kenna in 2022. He is a native of Germiston, South Africa.

He played alongside Eben Etzebeth at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
