Rapper, actor and producer who's been referred to as the "Godfather of Canadian hip hop." He's had success from singles such as "Let Your Backbone Slide," "Stick to Your Vision," and "416/905."
He studied law and political science at Ottawa's Carleton University in the 1980's and released his first album Symphony in Effect in 1989.
He became the first Canadian rapper to have a Top 40 hit with his single, "Let Your Backside Slide" in 1989. He also launched the first "Canadian Hip-Hop Appreciation Week."
He was born Wesley Williams in Toronto, Canada.
He teamed up with rapper Kardinal Offishall on the hit "Ever Since."
