She came out as gay in the 8th grade. She came out as transgender at age 18. She attended university at NYU.
In November 2022, she published an article in PopSugar about breaking gender norms. She has written for Elle and Glamour. She has also worked with brands such as Covergirl.
She was mentored by her older gay cousin Adam. She had a strained dynamic with her mother and brother.
