ABOUT MACKENYU

American-born Japanese actor known for his roles in Chihayafuru, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and the popular sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising. He is best known for portraying Enishi Yukishiro, the final villain of the Rurouni Kenshin in the live-action series, Rurouni Kenshin Saishūshō: The Final. In 2023, he began starring on the Netflix series One Piece .

As a child, he had a few film and television credits including the show Astro kyûdan and the feature film Oyaji.

In 2016, he made his stage debut in the musical adaptation of the popular television show Boys Over Flower. He won a best supporting actor award at the Asians of Films festival in 2015.

His father is actor, filmmaker, and martial artist Sonny Chiba . He has two siblings, a sister and brother.

He appears opposite Scott Eastwood and John Boyega in the 2018 film Pacific Rim: Uprising.
