Singer-songwriter who gained fame from her debut album Youth Novels and sang on Kleerup's song "Until We Bleed." In 2022, she released her fifth studio album, titled Eyeye. In 2012, she won both best artist and best album at the Grammis, a Swedish music award show.
She traveled around the world growing up, but she returned to New York City to record her album at the age of twenty-one.
She provided a cover of "Silver Springs" for a Fleetwood Mac tribute album, along with other contributors like MGMT and Best Coast. Her musical fame has helped her garner over 380,000 followers on Instagram.
She is the daughter of a photographer and a musician. She and her long-term partner J Jeff Bhasker welcomed a son, Dion, in February of 2016. She wrote her fourth album, so sad so sexy, in 2018 after her split from Bhasker and after losing her mother to brain cancer.
She performed the song "Possibility" for the film New Moon, which is based on Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga.
